Pre Cast
Luxcrete products can be supplied as pre cast units either to be fixed by the general contractor or by our experienced installation teams. All our products are made to order in our controlled factory environment. Pre casting usually speeds up site installation and allows work to continue during very cold weather. Luxcrete panels can be manufactured to suit most shapes, including square, rectangular, circular, triangular, multi sided and irregular.

Cast In Situ
All of our products can be cast in situ by our highly skilled and dedicated personnel. In situ casting does allow for larger areas to be formed and is more suitable for accommodating site falls and levels. However, careful consideration must be given to the size and shape of all panels to minimise the possibility of shrinkage. Certain site conditions and locations may dictate in situ casting. Our technical department is available to provide further advice.

Surveys
Our representative can attend site to conduct a free survey, compile a detailed report, and offer recommendations and advice regards your project needs. Site surveys and quotations are available without obligation. Survey reports available on request. Please contact our estimating department.

New Installations
Luxcrete can attend site to advise on and survey structural openings and supports, bearings, spans and loading requirements. Advise on and recommend construction type, determine the best method of installation (pre cast or in situ) and advise on jointing, sealing and weatherproofing options.

Existing Pavement Lights
Early Pavement Lights were of a cast iron construction which were normally only around 30mm deep at the rib sections and the outer frames as little as 15mm in depth. The loading requirements then were not as they are today. Over the years the original non slip embossment can be completely worn away thereby lessening the thickness of the frames and leaving them in a fragile condition.

Maintenance
We offer remedial and maintenance works to replace lenses/glass blocks. Repair and reseal pavement lights, smoke outlet panels, floor lights and roof lights, fire escape hatches and cellar flaps. We also offer a regular servicing programme for our fire escape hatches.

Products
Originally, cast iron pavement lights were designed over 100 years ago to provide a source of natural daylight within basements and cellars. Although cast iron frames have now been superseded by reinforced concrete panels incorporating glass lenses, pavement lights still perform this important function whilst providing a non- mechanical form of smoke ventilation in the event of a fire. All Luxcrete pavement lights are approved by the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (L.F.E.P.A) for use as smoke outlet panels. Luxcrete pavement lights also provide aesthetically pleasing features to any building project.

• Pre Cast Stair Treads
  Developed to meet the growing demand for aesthetically pleasing architectural features, our pre cast stair treads will add a new dimension to any building project. This versatile construction can be used in isolation as an individual feature or enables complete continuity of finishes when installed in conjunction with our floorlight walkway panels.


• Fire Escape Hatches
  All premises with basements and sub-ground vault areas must have an effective means of escape in the event of a fire. For many years Luxcrete have enabled clients to conform to statutory building regulations by installing our tested and L.F.E.P.A (London Fire & Emergency Planning Authority) approved fire escape hatches over basement areas.
