ASW Scaffolding Ltd have been trading from their head office in West Hagbourne near Didcot since it was formed by owner and Managing Director, Stephen White, in 1997. Stephen and members of his management team have been working within the scaffolding sector for over 30 years and between them have a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Our client base has grown year upon year and we now work for some of the countries leading volume housebuilders and developers. Our operating area ranges from the Midlands down to the South coast, indeed, we currently have contracts in both Worcester and Southampton.

Health and Safety is at the centre of ASW’s work ethic and the entire management team endeavour to instil this within all of our scaffolding operatives. The welfare of ASW’s staff and that of the public cannot be underestimated and to that end we continue to strive towards excellence. Equipment and PPE is regularly inspected and any changes or updates made are recorded to ensure full compliance to the latest regulations. All of ASW’s tube, fittings and scaffold boards are fully compliant to British Standards in line with TG20:13 guidelines.

A fleet of over 50 vehicles including 5 scaffolding lorries, all serviced by a full-time mechanic, ensure that our operatives are on site, on time and any equipment is delivered or collected in a timely manner. Methodical labour and resource planning plays a significant role in managing our contracts effectively and we are always on hand to ensure any queries or problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

• New Build Property Developments

The majority of our work is repeat business for some of the UK’s major housebuilders including Linden Homes, Barratt Homes, Taylor Wimpey Ltd and Bellway Homes to name but a few.
We work closely alongside our clients to ensure that their projects are completed to, often very tight, build programs. In order to successfully provide a safety access system within a specified time scale and whilst ensuring the needs of other trades are met, requires a considerable amount of planning and continual monitoring. Our qualified site supervisors are on hand daily to provide assistance and advice to developers ever evolving requirements.
Many of our clients have successfully gained Top 100 Awards from the NHBC and we feel very proud to have been part of the team.


• Refurbishment Works
Whether it’s an office conversion or a 17th Century Manor House, we can provide bespoke designs to fit around you and your project. Refurbishment projects can present all kinds of complex and difficult situations, from temporary roofing systems to shoring scaffolds for floors or chimney stacks, we can provide a solution to your refurbishment requirements.


• Special Projects/tree protection etc.
Should your development have a tree or root preservation order, we can provide tree protection fencing to BS5837. Tree and root protection is often forgotten about on developments, once damage has taken place it is irreversible. However, the BS5837 protection regulations set out specific standards and guidance on protecting trees and roots and these should be followed on all developments and projects.


• Commercial Sector Projects
We can offer a wide range of professional, commercial scaffolding structures to suit all kinds of requirements. We pride ourselves on having an enviable reputation for delivering safe and affordable structures for office refits, supermarket construction, warehouse units etc. Our huge stock of board, tube and fittings means we are able to provide access solutions for practically any size of building from shop front to aircraft hangar. We are dedicated to providing fully health and safety compliant solutions to make working at height easier.


• Public Sector Projects
Our team of Contracts Managers and Supervisors are trained in all aspects of scaffolding erection and importantly strict Health and Safety guidelines. Any project which may involve the safety of the public, be it a hospital building, school or public amenity, must adhere to a very strict set of requirements. We can assist in the pre-planning and design stages of a project to ensure that access requirements are constructed efficiently and with the least disruption to the public. Our operatives work to TG20:13 good practice guidelines ensuring, at all times, that you are in safe hands.


• Engineering Projects
We often work closely alongside scaffolding designers on special projects and have a wealth of experience in providing bespoke solutions for unusual projects. Cantilever scaffold, temporary roofs, loading gantries, bridging scaffolds and independent structures can all be included within your project if required.
