Polyurea is a coating/lining technology and has been used very successfully for many different applications today around the world.
Polyurea by name is not a specific coating system or specification but is a description of a polymer technology with a huge range of product formulations offering a whole range of solutions. Almost no coating can compare to Polyurea when it comes to attainable physical properties from high elongation to superior tensile strength to hard or soft. Polyurea’s major benefit is its fast set return to service characteristics Tack free within 10 – 60 Seconds and open to traffic within the hour returning an area to service many times faster than traditional coatings.
Our Polyurea coatings are spray applied with a Graco HXP-2 Plural component system allowing us to fast apply with accuracy to any mil thickness, in one or multiple passes. Additional characteristics such as slip resistant textures can also be incorporated; UV stable colours can also be achieved.
For decades, traditional materials such as paint, epoxy, fibreglass and vinyl esters have all been used to perform these various types of protective coating applications.
