CLM is a family-run, bespoke metalwork fabrication specialist with a wealth of experience in a broad range of sectors. Established 30 years ago, the Wirral-based company provides metalwork design fabrication and installation services for a wide variety of companies and organisations.

Our extensive range of bespoke equipment includes handrails; disabled access ramps; stainless, glazed balustrades and security fencing, as well as bespoke projects. CLM offers a full design service, using 3D drawing facilities to evaluate its customer’s plans and provide accurate quotes.

Working from our 5,000 square feet, purpose-built premises in Wallasey, skilled fabricators use the most up to date techniques available to manufacture an excellent product.

Projects successfully completed by CLM include Wirral Met College’s prestigious Twelve Quays site in Birkenhead; installation of a secure compound to house African painted dogs at Chester Zoo and a revamp to St John’s Shopping Precinct in Liverpool city centre.

CLM is committed to working in close collaboration with its clients, which include Read Construction and Balfour Beatty. Each project begins at the drawing board to ensure that every CLM project is well engineered and built to the safest and most cost effective design. Using the latest 3D design technology CLM’s creative team work hard to make the client’s design a reality, using only the highest quality materials available.

Once the design is complete, CLM uses its fleet of specialist vehicles to transport clients’ equipment to the project site, where it is swiftly installed. The company’s time-served fabricators are committed to the highest levels of on-site safety and will complete the project quickly and effectively, while project managers provide regular updates.

  CLM designed and installed glass canopies at St John’s Shopping Centre in Liverpool city centre.


• Education
  The CLM team designed and built 50m of glass balustrade and two staircases for a new sports hall at Malbank Sixth Form College in Cheshire; provided steel structures for Wirral Met College’s new showpiece Twelve Quays campus and provided steel frames as part of an extension to Runshaw College in Leyland near Preston.


• Healthcare
  CLM designed and installed a showpiece staircase at a new build doctor’s surgery in Wirral.


• Housing
  CLM provided and installed steel structures for a project to transform a derelict barn into four family homes in Lymm, Cheshire.


• Leisure and tourist attractions
  Designed and installed bespoke steel structures for animal enclosures at Chester Zoo’s new £30m Islands project – the biggest zoo expansion in UK history.


• Public sector
  CLM designed, manufactured and installed bespoke structures for new £20m headquarters of Bury, Greater Manchester Police.
