25 years experience in the Building Services Industry is the foundation of Michael Carr Consultancy. Our team have led the design and installation of £100 million of Mechanical and Electrical Services on a wide variety of commercial construction projects in the public & private sectors.

The production of Energy Performance Certificates for non-domestic buildings spearheads the Consultancy's compehensive range of Building Energy Services. Accredited at levels 3 and 4 by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers Michael Carr can produce EPCs for the vast majority of commercial buildings.

We also provide Display Energy Certificates (DECs) for public buildings over 500m² indicating how efficiently a building is being operated. Accompanying each DEC is an Advisory Report recommending cost-effective measures to improve the energy rating of the building.

ESOS Lead Assessor
Inspired by a new EU directive the new “Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme” legislation, ESOS for short, is a mandatory scheme requiring reporting of an organisation’s total energy consumption.

Energy consumed by buildings, transport and industrial processes must be considered. In England the Environment Agency is responsible for managing the Scheme.

The Regulations also demand the preparation of cost-effective, energy saving recommendations. There is no compulsion to implement these initiatives but the Government is optimistic that organisations will see the financial benefit of their implementation.

It is anticipated that in excess of 10,000 organisations in the UK will be affected by the legislation.
