About Mole Excavating

No need to spoil your drive or lawn!

Mole Excavating is the only trenchless specialist in the Channel Islands. We can save your expensive paving or protect your established lawn from the damage caused by trenching. We can also trace around existing services to find safe routes for new services. Most importantly we are here to help and can save you money.

All types of groundworks can be catered for, including drainage, mini piles and utility laying in the roads.

We are trained in the street works act and and
have 9 years experience laying ducts and cables in our highways and running road gangs and can be available for any duct, pipe or cable laying. Guernsey Electricity regularly hire Mole Excavating to help out on Fibre Optic duct laying and cable pulling, also for private cable installations. Guernsey Water recomend Mole Excavating for customers who need new water services installed. We can be subcontracted as a road gang superviser and can also
supply trained men through Labour Force Gsy. http://www.labourforcegsy.co.uk/ . We can install 4" mini piles which comes in handy for underpinning or piling works in confined spaces.

Geothermal Pipe Installation

Mole Excavating can install pipes for Ground source heat exchanger pumps that utilise geothermal energy. All different methods of installation can be quoted and catered for, from horizontally laid pipes to a new method that is yet to be introduced to the channel islands that needs comparatively little in the way of surface area to work and is also a more efficient system than vertical bores that may not have been drilled deep enough or been thoroughly filled with grout for an efficient heat transfer, the pipes are also separated so you don’t get a mutual influence from other pipes, where they could all be cooling the ground as they are too close together, reducing their efficiency further.
