Online Acoustics are independent, multi-disciplined acoustic consultants and engineers specialising in noise surveys and environmental noise control on a UK wide basis.
We are reliable, fully qualified and experienced noise assessment and acoustic consultants; focussing on industrial and environmental noise surveys, sound assessments and environmental noise impact measurement. We also offer sound insulation testing in compliance with the current Building Regulations Approved Document Part E, helping you to ensure your planned project gains planning permission in a smooth, cost effective and hassle free manner.

Most building projects will require a noise survey, and we will liaise with the relevant local planning and environmental health authority on your behalf to agree on the specific noise assessment criteria and methodology to be used.
Our consultants will discuss noise assessment requirements with you and provide advice and noise consultancy on the current regulations and relevant guidance throughout the planning process.
By carrying out manned surveys, Online Acoustics are able to provide precise measurements, and will produce detailed technical reports suitable for local authority submission, at competitive rates.
Environmental Noise Surveys
An environmental noise assessment is usually a legal requirement for the planning application of any new residential building. The assessment is designed to measure the exposure to noise of proposed residential sites. This can include road traffic noise, rail noise and industrial noise.
Industrial Noise Assessment
Online Acoustics carry out industrial noise assessments in conjunction with BS4142. An assessment may be required for planning regarding any changes to industrial premises which may increase background noise, and our fully qualified noise assessment engineers will be able to lead you through the process with a minimum of fuss.
Sound Insulation Testing
All Part E sound insulation testing is carried out under the Association of Noise Consultants (ANC) Scheme which has been approved by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister as an alternative to UKAS.
