Second time owner of a Runnymede Homes property built just over 10 years ago.
Water leaking through the roof into the bedroom every time it rains. A repair has previously been carried out.
Having emailed Runnymede Homes they have shown zero interest in helping to resolve the issue we currently have. The life expectancy of a roof should be more than 10 years.
Despite even willing to pay to fix the problem, Runnymede Homes have seemingly brushed their hands of the issue and said it is our problem.
Email received from Tony Franklin below:
‘Ref the current new owners question of any building liability on the roof leaking from possible flashings , as this is out of the warranty period and a second owner , RH would not accept any liability for remedial works.’
Disappointing response from a company who’s slogan is ‘Creators of fine new homes‘. Having spoke to the people who built the property we now don’t know where to go.
As a business owner myself you would hope that they would want to help resolve such a major issue.
