What is an Energy Performance Certificate?
An Energy Performance Certificate is a report on the energy efficiency rating of you home. The report contains graphs, which give a current and potential energy rating.

The efficiency rating is determined by criteria which the energy assessor is trained to analyse. Some of the things they look at are listed here:

• The approximate year of construction
• Size of property
• Construction materials
• Glazing materials
• Heating system – Boiler, thermostats, controls etc
• Loft insulation
• Wall insulation
• Low energy lighting
• Renewable technologies such as Solar panels

As well as the energy efficiency graphs the report also makes suggestions for how to improve the properties energy performance, which will lead to reduced carbon emissions, lower energy bills and make the house more attractive to prospective buyers or tenants.

Water Efficiency Calculations
If your building control officer requires a water efficiency calculation to satisfy Part G of the building regulations, give us a call. We can do this from just £15 + VAT. Turnaround is within 24 hours, usually the same day.

SAP Calculations
Our SAP Calculations for New Builds and Conversions cost from £80 + VAT for a single unit and from £30 + VAT for each multiple duplicated property. Included in our price is unlimited advice on how best to get your project to comply with Part L of the building regulations. We will run your calculation on our software as many times as it takes and we will never charge you for this additional service. The cost for lodging the EPC upon completion will be £35 + VAT per unit.

Excessive glazing calculations for extensions will cost from £150 + VAT.

Air and Acoustic Testing
We offer a UK-wide, fast and cost-effective service for all your Part L1A Building Regulations air testing compliance requirements. Our Residential Air Pressure Testing service is used by construction companies, house builders, large and small developers and self builders.

We carry out air pressure and air permeability testing on all residential building types from small single flats, to detached houses and multi-dwelling developments.

All our air tightness, air permeability and air pressure tests are carried out in accordance with ATTMA (Air Tightness Testing and Measuring Association) TS1 Issue 2 to BS EN 13829 method B standards, and all our test engineers are trained and accredited members of the BINDT (British Institute of Non Destructive Testing).
