Commercial Electrical
This means the quality of our work, processes we employ, paperwork, certification is independently inspected at regular intervals by the NIC EIC who are generally acknowledged as the market leader inspectorate covering electrical work within this fast-paced exciting industry.

The cornerstone of any project starts with the gathering of information, this can entail architect drawings, site visits and client consultation with the latter being the most important and often the most overlooked. Based upon our experience the project can and usually does change this can be down to the client changing their mind or it may be something that could not be foreseen, we are experienced enough to provide solutions with a pro-active approach and welcome the challenge.

Fire & Life Safety
It’s in our name, at Apple Fire & Security we will help guide you through the red tape and ensure that you have the correct fire alarm system installed at the right price without cutting corners.

From the initial design to handover of a complete fire detection system we will be there covering all aspects of the project, it’s one less thing for you to worry over. All our systems are design in line with guidance from BS5839:1 for commercial systems and part 6 for domestic systems.

Emergency Lighting
Escape route lighting - ensures that the main escape routes of a building during an emergency are clearly identifiable and sufficiently illuminated reducing panic or confusion.

Open area lighting - often referred to as anti-panic lighting, this ensures there is sufficient lighting to enable building occupants to reach a place where an escape route can be identified. Open area lighting applies to floor areas larger than 60m².

High risk task lighting - this provides higher levels of illumination to allow potentially dangerous processes to be shut down or stopped prior to evacuation, for example turning off machinery or equipment, can also be used in locations such as kitchens.

CCTV Systems
CCTV seems to be everywhere these days and has increasingly become the go to security deterrent for good reason.

Lower insurance premiums are a real possibility where an effective CCTV system has been deployed to mitigate the rise of false claims against companies by dishonest staff, in some instances your insurer may insist that a suitable system has been installed meeting the requirements of local licensing departments and insurers alike.

Private Rental Sector
The private sector has encountered many changes over the years to provide more regulation within this booming industry sector as more of us invest in property. New legislation has now been introduced which will require Landlords to have electrical safety checks carried out as follows:

• From 1st July 2020 all new specified tenancies will require an electrical safety check to be in place.
• From 1st April 2021 all existing specified tenancies will require an electrical safety check to be in place.
