About Jet Pumps (UK) Ltd

You no longer need to worry about standard and old type systems and budget constraints. With our proven jet-pump technology your problem can be quickly and efficiently removed at affordable rates.

By a process of engineering from the model a great variety of pumping systems can be derived. Because of the comprehensive nature of the model both static and dynamic flow can be accurately described. Inherently stable systems can be specified, needing neither control systems nor operators, not merely for simple pumping installations but even for dredging and coastal management operations. Materials can be transferred with controlled damage: minimal for foodstuffs and for scrubbing just as high as needed for the desired degree of cleanliness.

Jet Pumps offer a comprehensive dredging service; from design and fabrication to the operation of underwater pumps. We can clear debris and sediments from most submerged positions; shallow marinas to the deeper waters of the Offshore zone.

Offshore the company works closely with marine contractors and operators. We provide a wide range of standard off-the-shelf tools such as diver/ROV dredges, submersible pumps and seabed dispersal tools. We also design, build and install specially-developed one-off pumping systems for specific uses.

As well as submersible systems Jet Pumps have developed pumps for air circulation in mines, sewage clearance, the transport of chemicals in powder form, sand cleaning, beach replenishment schemes, by passing, environmental clean up and many other applications.

U - Pump
Introducing...the U-Pump...

U-Pump Applications:
  • Manual or Hopper loading
Materials are shovelled into the hopper through a three-layer steel screen that separates oversized materials and can be used as an “anvil” for breaking up Sheets of rust scale. Sluicing jets Continuously wash the material down into the main jet stream. Cross-jets prevent build up of heavy and sticky materials that could interfere with the main jet.

  • Vacuum cleaning through suction hose
When the cover is secured over the screen and hopper, a vacuum is created. By using the flexible vacuumhose and the vacuum head, it is possible to remove slurry, sludge and other liquids from areas otherwise inaccessible. The vac head incorporates a disintegration nozzle and control valve.
Dredger Applications
Jet Pumps are used around the world for dredging of Sand & Gravel, Silt and Clays. Output can be from say 20 to 1000 tph and dredging depths up to 30meters deep. With discharge distances in excess of 2k no problems.

Silt, Lagoon Dredging
Do you have a lagoon or lake that is filling up with silt that should not be there? We have the answer. A typical silt pond dredge can move your silt or sand from 50th 150tph and up to 500m discharge via a floating pipe line. The dredge can be powered either by Electric or Diesel. Delivered by lorry with a single lift of approximately 8tons for the dredge.

Sand Scrubbing

150/200 Ton Hour Sand Scrubber
The jet pump sand scrubber described uses a jet pump to scrub the material and to convey the washed product onto a double deck screen, by applying maximum concentration of turbulent energy; this provides the opportunity for loosened waste to be removed. The water is processed in the water treatment plant and the fines are recovered in a filter press.

70 Ton Hour Sand Scrubber
Jet Pumps UK Ltd scrubbers have jet pumps at their heart. They are of two forms, two jet pumps opposed and two or more jet pumps in tandem. The tandem jet pump sand scrubber described uses two jet pumps in series, one to apply a maximum concentration of turbulent energy and the other to recycle the material a number of times to provide opportunity for loosened waste to be removed.

Mobile Sand Scrubbers
Transportable - self contained, cleaning system for removing oil contaminated particles from beaches, causeways, and fine gravel. A road towable self powered cleaning unit available in various sizes to process contaminated materials at a rate of 5-70 tonnes per hour.
  • Easy to set up
  • Self contained
  • Diesel or electric powered
  • Robust construction
  • Cleans to below 200ppm
  • Proven technology
  • Simple to operate
  • The only external equipment required is a clean water supply
Sand Transfer
Jet pumps are successfully used for sand transfer systems. Materials pumped can include: sand, grit, gravel, seaweed, small sticks, rags, drink cans & other rubbish.

Sand Pumping
Jet pumps can be used for material handling, either for transfer, or for washing by use of the cavitation that can be indeced to break up clays, soils, oil etc. In this case, Jet Pumps UK Ltd was contracted to transfer sand into a cofferdam in the River Mersey for Merseylink as part of the construction of a new suspension bridge.
