CRS Technical Services was established in 1978 to provide all forms of user and maintenance documentation for industry, and has been doing so ever since.

Why You Need It
A clear, well-structured operator handbook makes using a product or accessing information efficient and safe for your customers. Readers can then get the best from your product, which should improve brand loyalty and your sales. It will also limit the number of enquiries to your customer-service department.

• User Guides
  We will provide clear and concise user instructions from (quick) start-up, to accessing all functions and safety guidance. These documents can be generated from your written brief or can originate after discussions with your technical team. The supply of a user guide with safety guidelines is essential for each product to the UK manufacturing industry.


• Electronic Documentation
  An interactive electronic manual compresses the volume of text into just a CD-ROM or an online manual on your site, and can include sound and video. Through links on the index page, users can quickly access any heading listed, and by clicking ’buttons’ on every page, they can instantly jump to any section they need.
  
  This means information can be disseminated to many more people than a limited print run, and enables updates to the manual to be quicker and cheaper, if they can be accessed online.


• Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals
  O&M manuals are a prerequisite for any new build or refurbishment for the construction industry. An O&M manual will contain comprehensive information from all suppliers involved in the project, so the current owner (and any subsequent owners) will be able to operate any of its subsystems (e.g. air conditioning, fire and security alarms, etc.) and maintain the infrastructure of the building.
  
  Apart from being a contractual requirement, O&M manuals are essential if anything needs repairing or replacing – this can be as complicated as a rooftop ventilation system, or just a carpet tile.


• Technical Illustrations
  Your user guides will be greatly enhanced by clearly annotated exploding diagrams. We can create 3D illustrations from photographs of your products, or we can manipulate and enhance your 3D CAD images.


• Translation Services
  We offer quick and reliable translation services, in any language, from your approved master documentation. We only use translators whose mother tongue is the target language and who are preferably experienced in the technology to be covered, as this method is consistently successful.


• Design & Artwork
  We can design concepts from your creative brief, or will layout from your existing material and brand guidelines.


• Print
  We manage digital printing (for shorter runs) and litho printing (for longer runs) from finished artwork through to delivery, and are committed to offering competitive rates.


• Digital Services
  In addition to electronic documentation, we can produce bespoke emails and banner ads that can drive traffic to your website and internet presence. And from master artwork, we can format your manual into a flip-page digital guide that can be hosted on your website or accessed via a link. The flip-page format is very user-friendly and can offer the benefit of obtaining metrics via Google analytics.
