About EnerTherm Engineering Ltd
EnerTherm’s ethos utilises Six Sigma principles to focus on eliminating problems that impair production, optimise operation and minimise costs relating to energy and waste. We achieve this by working with a variety of proven technologies that can be embedded into a new process or by creating new systems.
We offer a number of expert services including process site audits, data capture and analysis, process or machine design, prototyping and integration of control systems.
EnerTherm Engineering Ltd provides a full turnkey service for businesses that are looking to improve production efficiency, reducing energy use and carbon footprint, prototyping and developing a more efficient thermal design.
Already, we are working with a large number of partners including; scientists, designers, manufacturers and consultants that provide a depth of expertise to ensure the best solution is always the one provided.
The integration of technologies developed by EnerTherm Engineering Ltd has helped provide a reduction of gas use within a large food manufacturer with the use of an innovative Thermal Insulation Coating, an improved product quality and traceability via the integration of a new colour sensor to measure a Key Performance Indicator (KPI), a new snack dehydrator design to improve production volume, consistency and greater energy efficiency and a web-app which captures on/offline machine data and produce daily reports.
Our Services
Audit & Analysis
This service is split into 3 core areas. (i) Process Evaluation, (ii) Energy Audit, and (iii) Feasibility and Viability Studies.
EnerTherm Engineering uses the state of the art laboratory situated at the Allia Future Business centre in Peterborough to propose a unique R&D service for companies who do not have the facility to do so or do not have adequate resource. We operate with strict confidentiality agreement.
We offer a wide range of services, from rapid prototyping utilising CAE and 3D printing facilities, to complete Virtual Reality immersion which allows the customer to see, touch, and move as if they were in the real world. Our first de-hydrator Factory Acceptance Test was ran virtually. Design optimisation can be done through this service and visualising, touching the final designed product can be achieved in a very quick turnaround.
Product Development
We design from first principles and generate bespoke calculations utilising our knowledge from chemical, thermal, mechanical and electrical engineering. We project manage new design from concept to manufacturing and follow them through installation and commissioning. Our strength reside in the new development of bespoke machinery where there is a certain aspect of research and development.
Our design process flow follows a structured approach where each steps is signed off by our clients. From writing a functional design specification, reporting on calculation utilising our extensive CAE tools, testing and prototyping in the Allia Future Business Centre state of Art lab, running HAZOP and FMEA studies, manufacturing and FAT testing through our wide partners network, installing and final sign off.

Our Services
Audit & Analysis
This service is split into 3 core areas. (i) Process Evaluation, (ii) Energy Audit, and (iii) Feasibility and Viability Studies.
- Process Evaluation
The focus of this task is to capture plant or process data either from existing infrastructure or creating new ones. This data will be analysed in-depth with particular focus on performance, efficiency and is highlighting areas of potential improvement. - Energy Audit
We create comprehensive heat and mass balances, with detailed Process Flow Diagrams for evaluation of existing equipment or processes. Onsite energy audits are tailored to evaluate process efficiency, map heating networks and capture heat losses from entire processes. - Feasibility and Viability Studies
The aim of such a study is to analyse the technical feasibility of design changes or complete new onsite processes from existing or future plants. The second part of this study evaluates the financial aspect of a new process and looks at capital, operational costs and ROI for the process. These independent studies are ideal for evaluating future CAPEX selection and providing evidence for project sign-off.
