AWE Environmental manage the causes of environmental problems, not just the symptoms. We work closely with our clients to achieve success through the use of innovative nature based and sustainable treatment technologies and systems, along with properly targeted monitoring and consultancy.

Through a shared passion for delivering whole sustainable solutions to environmental problems, AWE Environmental Services Ltd was created.

After working for many years in the water, waste treatment, contaminated land, industrial air monitoring, horticultural and eco-technology sectors, we decided to fuse together their combined expertise to deliver complete, sustainable solutions to their customers.

We didn't want to be yet another company that would sell a limited range of unsupported technical “bandaids” to patch up the symptoms often created by underlying causes. We wanted to offer a service that identified the causes of problems, as well as providing the most sustainable and cost effective long term solutions.

Ultrasonic Algae Control

Hydro BioScience ultrasonic algae control uses no chemicals and has proven to be effective in tanks, lakes, reservoirs and more. It’s been successfully used at power plants, golf courses, botanical gardens, water and wastewater treatment plants, marinas, and other personal and commercial installations. It lowers pH and TSS!

Floating just below the surface, the device operates 24-hours a day providing coverage for up to 17 acres for green algae and up to 124 acres for blue green algae, depending on species and conditions.

Blue Green Algae Test Kits
The BlueGreenTest® allows you to check for toxic blue-green algae in swimming waters or water used in saunas.

The kit includes three test bags and three pairs of disposable gloves.
Each bag contains a sampling container, pipette and an analysis slide.
Additionally, you need a clean bucket or other large container to collect the water to be tested.

Aquaponics
In these times of increasing food insecurity and potential post Brexit food import price rises, a new system for producing food is badly needed. Aquaponics is such a system.

Aquaponics is the fusion of aquaculture and hydroponics. As a growing system, it holds much promise for the production of edible fish and vegetables with out chemical input.

Our program of research and development is focused on designing equipment and systems capable of growing plants and table fish all year round, with little water or space requirement. Along with this we should have our first commercial aquaponics food production facility operational by the Spring of next year.

AWE Environmental Services can supply a range of technical and biodegradable geo-textile products to help control river and lake bank erosion. We also supply geo-textile products for stabilising sloping land and to protect grassed areas where heavy use is causing compaction, erosion and loss of grass cover

Aeration kits and accessories
These kits are excellent for destratification, aeration and circulation of pond, lakes and lagoons. Where larger lakes require aeration, several systems can be deployed. The kits come in 100/litres per min or 200/litres per min options.
