About Acuity Compliance

Our Mission
To make every space a safe space
You want your space to be safe but where do you start?

We’ll help you identify areas of your space which may not be safe by undertaking comprehensive surveys, assessments and inspections of your spaces, using trained, competent and knowledgeable surveyors who understand the challenges different spaces and their uses present.

Fire Risk Assessment
Fire Risk Assessments area legal requirement. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states that a Responsible Person within an Organisation should appoint a Competent Person to conduct a Fire Risk Assessment which is ‘suitable and sufficient’. In the case that there are 5 or more persons employed in the organisation, the Fire Risk Assessment must be physically recorded and cyclically reviewed. Acuity is able to perform fire risk assessment in Liverpool, Manchester and beyond.

Our Fire Risk Assessments meet PAS79 criteria:
  • Identification of the Hazards
  • Identification of the people at risk
  • Evaluation of the Fire Safety Measures provided and/or required to protect persons (e.g. fire alarm systems, escape routes)
  • Review the details and documents for the management of fire safety (e.g. evacuations procedures, staff training, fire drills etc)
  • A fully formulated action plan which is prioritised with risk levels clearly displayed in a concise manner
  • A full record of significant findings, and if necessary, the provision of an action plan
  • Ensure a review date is given to the assessment, and that this is kept updated

Fire Door Inspection Service
Fire Doors are a vital safety device, engineered to save lives and protect property, and will be part of a passive fire protection strategy within a building. It is a legal requirement that fire resisting doors and escape doors are correctly installed and adequately maintained in order for them to be fit for purpose.

Compartmentation Surveys
Buildings are divided up in to compartments to ensure that the spread of fire and smoke is limited to the compartment in which a fire starts.

As your building evolves, it is common to find breaches in compartment walls where services have penetrated through jeopardising the integrity of the compartment.

Specialist Clerk of Works
Working with investors, developers, architects and clients, From design stage, right through to Practical Completion, we will work with you to ensure the most practical and effective methods of Passive Fire Protection are utilised. We offer a knowledgeable presence on your site overseeing the Passive Fire Protection Works ensuring that your building is handed over to you with the Passive Fire Protection systems in optimum condition.
