The wraps are off Seeing is Believing 2010 – the 'must attend' event for everyone involved in highways and the UK road industry.
With live demonstrations and extensive indoor exhibition space, this year's three-day show promises to be the year's main event for both suppliers and customers.
Details of the event – to be held at the Mira Proving Grounds, Warwickshire, on November 9, 10 and 11 – were unveiled to representatives of the trade associations at MIRA by the organisers, Alad Ltd, publishers of Highways Magazine.
Director Neil Levett said: "It was apparent from the success of the concept event in 2008 that this show had a huge amount of potential. Having bought the event from founder Andy Pledge and his team at UK Roads, who have been retained as consultants, we are now striving to make it even bigger and better.
"The 2008 exit poll showed a staggering 98% of visitors said they would be back this year and we are aiming to address any areas where they felt there was room for improvement."
He added: "Seeing is Believing is the only opportunity where visitors can see real working products in their real working environments. It's a great way to promote products and associations as well as being an interesting and informal opportunity to network with like-minded people and to find out more about new products and initiatives in the highways industry."
Seeing is Believing is unique in that it allows highways engineers and consultants the opportunity to see products demonstrated in real life conditions – in varying light and weathers.
The event is specifically timed in November to allow visitors to see products at work both by day and by night, as well as at dusk.
Rennicks Group, which comprises Rennicks UK and MTS Ltd. is one of the many major suppliers of the UK Highways Industry to have already rebooked for 2010, along with a wide range of smaller manufacturers and contractors.
Seeing is Believing is endorsed by the Institute of Highways Incorporated Engineers, the Institute of Highways and Transportation, the Institute of Asphalt Technology and the Road Safety Marking Association.
