Johnstone's is set to revolutionise the way professional decorators think about colour with the launch of its new Johnstone’s ColourMate iPhone app.
The free app splashes onto the market boasting significantly more colour features than any other paint app, with a focus on meeting the everyday demands faced by professional decorators and again shows the innovative approach to colour that sets Johnstone’s apart from the competition.
Johnstone's dedication to colour is evident throughout the app, giving you easy access to over 1600 colours from the Johnstone’s Trade fan deck, as well as providing you with the tools to create pallets of colour for each project. Once a colour has been selected, you are presented with its key information, such as its Light Reflective Value and RGB values. The selected colour can then be enlarged so you can hold it up against the wall to test its suitability, while there is also a harmonic colour function that will recommend suitable colours. The colours are laid out in the same order as the fan decks, with the page number on it so you can use both tools to check the suitability of a colour.
You are also able to take a photograph of any object and the app will then match it to the nearest colour in the Johnstone’s range. The app allows you to fine tune the colour you have photographed using lightness and saturation features.
There is also a feature that allows you to locate the nearest Johnstone's Decorating Centre or selected stockist to your location, as well as a news section that will keep you abreast of the latest offers on Johnstone’s products. There is also a helpful guide within the app that will guide you through the functions and features so you can make the most out of them.
Tom Newton, Johnstone's Marketing Manager, commented: "We know that our customers are constantly on the move, so in response we’ve made it even easier for them to access all the information they need on site to give their customers the highest level of service possible.
"As people are getting more and more tech savvy they are choosing to rely on technology to provide them with everything they need, and this app has been designed to do exactly that for decorators. With detailed information on colour combinations, store locations and the latest news from Johnstone’s this is the perfect partner for any professional decorator."
