Ibstock Launches New Manor Range

Further extending its industry leading collection of bricks, Ibstock has launched 'The Manor Range', an attractive range of bricks which have been specifically designed to replicate traditional finishes from the past.

A unique collection of bricks, Ibstock's new Manor Range is manufactured using specially developed manufacturing equipment. The range consists of five new products, four red and one buff, which will enable architects and housebuilders to create exciting and interesting street scape for any development, helping buildings to sit perfectly within their environment.

Andrew Halstead-Smith, marketing manager at Ibstock, commented: "Now more than ever, builders are using brick to help them create even more visually distinctive and memorable buildings. As such, they need access to a wide choice of sizes, colours and textures that will allow them to create homes that fit in with the traditional brick finish characteristic of Britain's built environment, but that will also differentiate them and make them stand out from the crowd.

"As one of the few factories left in the UK with the suitable production equipment, we saw an opportunity at our Stourbridge factory to support the needs of builders, working in both new build and RMI markets by producing this exciting new range which blends together the old with the new to create properties that offer kerb appeal."

The process used to create Ibstock's new Manor range involves rolling back the upper most layer of clay using wire, before a specialist piece of equipment, which has been developed by Ibstock, then presses the clay back on top to produce a distinctive three dimensional surface texture that is very different from anything else available in the market. The bricks are then set in a unique way, ready for firing in the kiln which helps to ensure the surface texture in protected.
