Leica Geosystems has made a call for submissions for photographs to feature on is calendar for 2012, asking for pictures that demonstrate their surveying equipment being put to work.
The theme of the calendar will be 'Heroes@Work' and the company is looking for particularly interesting photographs to feature on the calendar, whether the interest is in how or where the equipment is being used, or in the perspective of the photograph and how it has been taken.
Leica Geosystems is hoping to reflect the complete spectrum of their capabilities in the photographs selected for the calendar, with examples sought of equipment across all their ranges, including HDS, machine control, agriculture, light construction and airborne surveying equipment.
Entrants - who must be over the age of 18 - are being asked to upload their images onto the Leica Geosystems Facebook page, at www.facebook.com/LeicaGeosystems adding a brief description of the image and their contact details.
While the twelve pictures for the calendar will be selected by a jury of 12 Leica Geosystems professionals, there will be an element of public opinion in another poll. The photograph submitted on the Facebook page that generates the most number of 'likes' will win its photographer a Leica Disto DXT as a reward.
All pictures for the calendar need to be at least 15 megapixel photos (5000*3000 pixel) and must not have been doctored or Photoshopped in any way. Entries can be submitted until the closing date on 30 June 2011.
