De christo have supplied the oak wood flooring for London’s most prestigious residential development - One Hyde Park: The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, London.
The iconic development of 86 apartments within four pavilions in Knightsbridge represents a unique collaboration between the world’s leading architects, designers and hoteliers who together have delivered an exceptional residential living experience.
De christo provided a unique construction for the bespoke fumed oak and natural oak wood flooring featured in the base build finish of all of the apartments at One Hyde Park.
Stuart Cherkas, Managing director of de christo UK commented: “De christo were given the specific task by the architects to provide an engineered floor that was very stable with an aesthetic quality and also consistent in colour. Besides the quality control during the manufacturing process each and every board was inspected by the interior fit out contractors before packing and shipment.”
De christo offer top quality, bespoke, engineered timber flooring. As well as standard ranges, the company uses a unique construction to produce the length, width, thickness, unique surfaces and aesthetic quality that each project demands. As part of this process, the team visits timber yards to select individual logs for their clients. Visiting the source of the wood is an essential part of the process to ensure the highest specification is provided to meet the demands of the client’s brief.
