Bouygues UK has reached Financial Close on Batch 3 of Tower Hamlets' Secondary Education Building project, at £61.5 million, with Tower Hamlets Council.
This third wave brings the number of schools undergoing regeneration in the borough to 14, with at least three more to come. The programme comprises new build, heavy refurbishment, remodelling and refreshment and the schools benefitting will be Langdon Park School, Stepney Green Mathematics and Computing College, Central Foundation School for Girls and Phoenix School.
This has been achieved in partnership with Tower Hamlets Council, with whom Bouygues has a long-standing and successful relationship.
Mayor Lutfur Rahman, Tower Hamlets Council, said: "Building Schools for the Future is not just about bricks and mortar, it is about the young people who will experience life-changing benefits from this investment in their future. Lasting generations, the improvements that we see will act as a catalyst helping to improve educational attainment in the future."
Bouygues' commitment to education is not limited to the schools they build and their immediate stakeholders, but extends to the wider community.
