Steadmans composite roof and wall panels in poppy red have been chosen for the building envelope of a new extension at Greenside Nursery Garden Centre in Lanark, Scotland.
Greenside Nursery wanted to extend its existing store area and appointed Lanark-based R J Doak and Sons as the main contractor for the project.
The roof and wall structures of the new building incorporated over 500 lin metres of Steadmans' AS35 100mm thick insulated panels and over 400 metres of the company’s galvanized purlins, rails and eaves beams. The roof panels on the new extension are finished in a striking poppy red colour, matching the colour of the roof panels installed on the original building.
Brian Doak, Director at R J Doak and Sons, said: "The AS35 insulated panels were perfect for this project as we were able to install them quickly, resulting in the swift completion of a fully weatherproof building envelope.
"We've worked with Steadmans on several projects in the past and know that they are always reliable when it comes to service, support and delivery. We regard the company as ‘one stop shop’ for us when it comes to the supply of building envelope materials."
With a life expectancy of up to 40 years, Steadmans AS35 insulated panels are available in a wide range of colours and finishes and can be specified in thicknesses to aid compliance with the latest L2 regulations. The panels are also Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) approved and are supported by a full range of matching ancillaries including gutters, flashings, rooflights and fixings.
