The Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme by The Carbon Trust has approved Socomec UPS Systems for taxable benefits on the purchase of new equipment in-line with the governments Energy Efficiency Policy.
If you are a Facilities Manager or Data Centre Manager in charge of uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS) this will be a welcome announcement. No less than five Socomec UPS units have gained this valuable approval, especially for use in Data Centres, critical secure power applications and business continuity.
The Delphys Green Power 320 & 400 kVA, Delphys MX 400, 500 and 800 kVA from Socomec UPS received approval from the ECA strict criteria and were added to the Energy Technology Product List (ETPL) on 1st September 2011.
This means any new purchase of these ECA approved USP units can apply to receive capital allowance benefits and claim back costs against the purchase of the new equipment, and in some cases project costs, from the Government under their energy-saving guidelines.
In addition to these UPS units Socomec also have other UPS products available on the approved ETPL which are qualified for the same benefits from the ECA Scheme: Delphys Green Power 200 kVA, Masterys Green Power 40, 100 and 120 kVA and the Masterys Mission Critical 100 and 120 kVA. All of which were some of the first UPS units to gain ECA approval in 2010.
