GB Building Solutions To Construct £6m Care Home

Construction firm GB Building Solutions has won the contract to build a new £6m care home in Salisbury for Gracewell Healthcare.

Gracewell's new Salisbury Manor care home will consist of 62 bedrooms over three storeys and will also include nursing and dementia care.

The building will be constructed within a conservation area and in traditional Georgian design, maintaining the original elegant 1840 façade.

Martin Smout, Chairman and Chief Executive of GB Building Solutions said: "Over the last six years we have built up an impressive track record of constructing care schemes across the country undertaking £340m of schemes and providing more than 2,400 beds.

"This new care home in Salisbury will add to our experience and marks the beginning of a new working relationship with Gracewell Healthcare."

The home has been especially designed both for residents who like a peaceful caring environment and those who wish to continue an active lifestyle. The ground floor will offer residents and visitors a library and computer corner with WIFI, together with

a chic café serving gourmet food. Residents and their visitors can also enjoy a luxury lifestyle gift shop, a New York‐style nail bar and a beauty spa.

Work is expected to be complete in September 2012.
