Basildon Council's contractor ALHCO Ltd, have recently achieved a significant landmark by fitting the 3,000th gas boiler manufactured by Vaillant Ltd, which was installed in the home of Mrs Yvonne Tremain, of Eastbrooke Place, Pitsea. In addition to the new boiler installation, central heating radiators were also fitted in both the bedrooms and the bathroom.

Mrs Tremain said: "I am over the moon that central heating has now been installed in these rooms. My bills will come down drastically and I will nolonger need to use electric heaters."
Councillor Andrew Baggott, cabinet member responsible for Landlord Services, said: "We are working hard to make improvements and invest in our housing stock.
"It's always pleasing to hear of residents who are happy with the service we provide. The Council is committed to providing good services and helping residents keep their bills down during such difficult times."
