BAM's growing FM business plans further expansion as it appoints a new managing director, Kath Fontana.
Kath Fontana previously held senior operational roles at Interserve. She is a Chartered FM Surveyor and a member of the RICS Professional Group for Facilities Management. Kath also worked for a number of high profile services organisations including Serco and Aspire Defence Services Ltd, managing major accounts across multiple sectors.
BAM’s FM arm, was established in the year 2000 and has grown into a successful multimillion pound business. BAM currently provides FM services to 39 schools, three hospitals, 22 offices and other facilities including law and order facilities.
BAM Construct UK’s Chief Executive, Graham Cash, said: "Kath Fontana's appointment as Managing Director of BAM's facilities management business. signals our ambition to extend our reach in the FM sector. Kath will lead a significant expansion of our FM business over the next five years. Our aim is to win a broader base of clients and extend the services we provide to them. It is a logical development for a company like ours that understands how buildings such as schools, universities and offices work."
