The Met Office has issued Yellow Alerts for a number of areas across the country to warn that localised flooding is predicted over the next couple of days; and a roofing company is advising all homeowners to check that their roofs are in good working order.
Strong winds and heavy rainfall are expected to sweep through the UK over the weekend and a yellow warning has been given to Warwickshire, West Midlands Conurbation, Worcestershire, Northamptonshire, Northern Ireland as well as North-east Scotland.
Motorists are being cautioned to take extra care on the roads as there is the possibility of a month’s average rainfall over a 24-48 hour period. Only last month gale force winds and heavy rain caused transport chaos across parts of the UK. Homes fared a little better with more than 100 properties flooding.
With so many Britons being put on alert for torrential rain, Myredlandroof is advising all property owners to examine their roofs properly to ensure no tiles are broken or missing.
Sarah Orio, Myredlandroof’s Marketing Manager, said: “A leaking roof requires urgent help to avoid future costly repair bills. As the stormy winds cause havoc on Britain, it is important that homeowners hire a roofer in their area to fix the damage quickly.”
Myredlandroof are roofing specialists and they offer expert guidance on spotting the signs of a damaged roof, as well as what to do to get it fixed. Visit the website to find a reputable, accredited tradesperson to undertake the repair work.
All roofers listed only offer the highest standard of workmanship and they have all endured a strict vetting procedure to ensure they are Trustmark approved. If your roof does need fixing this winter, let Myredlandroof find you a trusted installer.
