Experts have warned that increasing power outages will continue to leave homeowners and businesses without electricity.
A leading generator hire firm has issued a stark warning after thousands of people up and down the country suffered major disruptions due to numerous power failures. Residents and business owners been affected by a number of power cuts across the UK which have caused complete havoc.
Mark Stuart, Marketing Director of Mather and Stuart, said: “Losing power can be extremely detrimental on businesses and very stressful for homeowners. It is vital that your power supply is safe, secure and reliable especially in the coming winter months.”
Tens of thousands of mainline rail commuters were left stranded when a power failure crippled the peak-time services in Charing Cross in London. There was disorder due to a signal error between Baker Street and Aldgate and all routes to and from the station were affected.
A loose cable and a track failure reportedly caused the problem and severe delays were triggered.
Elsewhere, the town Cheltenham was hit by its fifth power cut in just a couple of weeks. The latest power failure left 1,800 homes and businesses in the centre of the town without electricity. Some were without power for up to four hours and it has been reported that compensation could be on the cards for people to make a claim for their losses.
In another place, a power failure hit 1,200 city properties in Leicester due to a problem with an underground power cable. Homes, businesses, shops and schools were left without power and a spokesperson from Western Power Distribution said it apologised to customers for any inconvenience caused.
Don’t let a power cut cause disorder in your business. Mather and Stuart have the power when you need it. As a specialist generator hire firm, you can have peace of mind that should you lose power, they can get it back to you fast.
With a dedicated response and disaster recovery team as well as their own fleet of trucks, rest assured that the experts can help quickly.
