Kier Gives Swan Bank Church A Makeover

Swan Bank Church in Burslem has been given a makeover by employees from Kier Stoke who donated their time to update the church's décor using materials provided free of charge by the firm.

Using equipment provided by Kier Stoke the team erected tower scaffolding and large platforms to paint the hall.

Kier Stoke head of operations, Richard Wall, said: "Kier is committed to helping the communities in which it works. The church hall is a focal point for the local community to come together and we're happy to have been able to contribute towards the running of this great facility."


The church's need for redecoration was highlighted to Kier Stoke by Business in the Community business connector for Burslem and Middleport, Elaine Le Montais. Business in the Community aims to encourage businesses to support regeneration in Middleport and Burslem leading to increased employment opportunities and attracting new business.
