Slough Borough Council Deputy Leader Cllr James Swindlehurst praised four affordable homes built by Thames Valley Housing Association (TVH) at Belle Vue Place.
Cllr Swindlehurst met resident Osmah Rehman, who moved into her home just a month ago. At her previous accommodation, her 13 year old son had to share a bedroom with his younger sister. Now they have a room each and a garden to enjoy.

The development at Belle Vue Place is one of six garage sites sold by the council to TVH, who developed them into 14, three, four, and five-bedroom homes for social rent in partnership with Pentair Construction.
Belle Vue Place along with the other five sites at Derwent Drive, Lincoln Way, London Road, Moray Drive and Stour Close, have all gone to people in housing need from Slough.
The 14 new homes have been supported with an investment of £700,000 from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).
Cllr Swindlehurst, who is also the council's Commissioner for Neighbourhoods and Renewal, said: "To see spacious and affordable family homes where once there were only derelict garages shows the success of our ambitious housing programme in Slough. I am delighted to see Osmah and her family enjoying their new home."
