Elston Trailers are proud to have launched the new Elston Ground Loader, which features ground lowering, height adjustable air suspension offering a range of access, safety and security benefits.
The new Elston Ground Loader has taken the Elston Air Suspension, widely used within the welfare unit industry, and developed it for use for general and bespoke trailers. With the ability to lower to the ground or increase ride height, the new product lends itself to a wide range of industries and looks set to make a significant impact on the way certain goods are transported.
"At a time where safety and security are on the forefront of people’s minds, the Elston Ground Loader offers a range of benefits that lend themselves to providing a solution to many operational problems," said Simon Elston, Director. "Look at transporting fork lift trucks for instance, currently specialist low loader trucks with extremely long ramps are required. To move single units in this way regularly would prove to be a costly exercise. With the Elston Ground Loader, the trailer can be simply lowered to the ground, the fork lift driven on and the trailer raised again before being towed away by any suitable vehicle. Not only would this demonstrate a saving in money through fuel costs, but also a saving in time."
Transport is not the only area in which the Elston Ground Loader stands to benefit operators, Elston continued, “With this technology we can do away with ramps, so we do not have to elevate goods and equipment, the trailer can remain secure at ground level to reduce theft and in addition, the trailer ride height can also be increased for off-road applications or for where higher ground clearance is needed.
