Morgan Sindall Receives £3.5m Contract

Morgan Sindall has been awarded a £3.5 million contract to deliver a new retail unit at the Greyhound Retail Park in Chester.

The project, for Land Securities, involves alterations and extensions to the retail park’s former cinema unit to create a new 48,000 sq ft development, which will house an Asda supermarket.

The project is due to complete in August 2014, and will see subcontractors drawn from across the local area working on the development.

Barry Roberts, Morgan Sindall area director, said: "We're delighted to be working with Land Securities and Greyhound Retail Park on this project. The development will have a positive impact on people in the local community, giving the economy a boost through the creation of jobs and also providing the people of Chester with a new food store in the area.

"Morgan Sindall has extensive experience in successfully delivering retail schemes of this nature, which we’re looking forward to employing on this scheme."
