Staff from Thompson Ecology's Guildford office have raised over £1,500 through fund raising activities over the last six months on behalf of the YMCA.
Last week, they presented a cheque to Pete Brayne from Guildford YMCA which will be used to help young people across Surrey.
Staff activity has been spearheaded by ecologist Leanne Wall who organised a variety of events to raise money for the charity, including cake sales and a "wear a onesie to work day". She also ran the London Marathon on behalf of YMCA a few weeks ago.
Nancy Thomson, CEO of Thomson Ecology, said: "I want to thank Leanne for working so hard to raise this amazing amount of money for such a worthwhile charity.
"The work that the YMCA does is so important in helping to support young people who may have lost their way and need extra help to get back on their feet. As a company, we have a lot of young staff and the aims of the YMCA really resonate with us."
Pete Brayne of Guildford YMCA added: "We are delighted with this fantastic donation from Thomson Ecology and particularly want to thank Leanne who has been tireless in her support for the work we are doing with young people in Surrey.
"There is growing demand for housing homeless young people, the majority of whom are under 18. Most have no qualifications and lack social skills and so are very unlikely to find employment unless they receive help. This money will be put to good use."
Thomson Ecology has confirmed that it will continue to support the YMCA throughout this year, which is also its 10th anniversary.
