Specialist contractor Cemplas Waterproofing and Concrete Repairs Ltd were called in by London Welsh Rugby Club and tasked with inspecting their concrete stand and providing a detailed defect survey together with a quotation to carry out any remedial works.
The defect survey highlighted various signs of deterioration, and Cemplas were appointed to undertake the works ensuring the stand would be safe for future upcoming rugby matches.
Due to the height of the stand, works by Cemplas operatives were undertaken from cherry pickers with all areas cordoned off with barriers and safety signage.
Cemplas broke out all areas of defective concrete and thoroughly cleaned the exposed steel reinforcement. The next stage was to prime the reinforcement and substrate with Sika Monotop 610 followed by re-instating all defective concrete which had been removed using Sika Monotop 615.
Cemplas operatives also undertook repairs to the stands floors and steps using Sika's Rapid Repair Mortar.
The expertise of Cemplas combined with their adaptability to a range of specialist operations have made it the go-to contractor for new-build and refurbishment projects in both the commercial and industrial sectors. Cemplas in-house Project Management service can provide a one-stop, single source service to take care of every stage of the project, from consultation, surveys, quotations, through to the installation and aftercare of the work undertaken.
Works were completed within budget and on time. Upon completion of all works, a joint inspection with the client was undertaken, and the works were signed off to their complete satisfaction.
