The Importance Of CRB/DSB Checks

Construction News Image
As one of the leading installers of safety surfacing and outdoor surfacing throughout the UK, we regularly install our safety surfacing in a number of nurseries, schools and sports centres. In these places there are children and sometimes vulnerable adults and the nature of the industry means that our team will come into contact with these people on a daily basis.

With the above in mind you can never be too careful and as an employer, DCM Surfaces take this matter of potential risk extremely seriously. All of our employees who would come into contact with children or vulnerable adults are CRB Checked (DBS) on a regular basis to ensure they are completely safe to do so.

This not only gives ourselves peace of mind however, it gives our customers peace of mind knowing when they come to DCM Surfaces they really do get professional teams who are qualified and safe.

CRB Checks (criminal record bureau) as they were originally called formed a vital part within many recruitment processes for a large number of businesses throughout the UK. Now they are known as DBS checks (disclosure and barring services) and they are a necessity in order to establish a safe working environment.

In many cases we are not actually asked for proof of CRB/DBS checks and clearance however, as a company we do not take the risk we always ensure all of our employees are suitable for this particular line of work.

All of our installations team and employees who come into contact with children/vulnerable people are CRB/DBS checked and all hold certification.

More and more in the news now we are hearing horrendous stories where appropriate checks haven’t been carried out and dreadful events have taken place. If you are thinking about installing a safety surface or outdoor surfacing then look no further than us.

We can provide all appropriate information on request which in turn provides real peace of mind. For more information please do not hesitate to get in touch.
