Morgan Sindall has delivered an £8.2 million project at Canterbury College in Kent.
The 65-week scheme involved building a sports centre and business block as well as a separate arts block at the college's City Centre campus.
The sports hall comprises of a wooden sprung floor and a fully equipped gymnasium with fitness rooms, changing facilities and teaching space.
In addition, a business centre was developed as well as a business lounge, conferencing space, numerous training rooms with audio visual equipment and specialist I.T. training facilities.
The arts block contains large sculpture and ceramics workshops along with a separate workshop for supported learning. It also contains several storage rooms, including a drying room, a plaster and clay store and a secure space for craft materials.
The development is expected to achieve a BREEAM 'Excellent' rating.
Morgan Sindall also delivered hard and soft external landscaping for the project, as well as offering work placements and apprenticeships as part of its skills investment programme.
Alan Carver, Capital Projects Manager at Canterbury College, said: "The superb facilities for the staff, students and business community are to the highest standards, and complete the campus redevelopment programme which started in 2004.
"The college team has worked closely with Morgan Sindall in all aspects of the project from initial design through to commissioning."
Stephen Paine, Morgan Sindall's project manager and a former student of the college, added: "Throughout the duration of the project, Morgan Sindall has been dedicated to creating an innovative learning space and has set a benchmark for other sustainable construction projects."
