Mr Wootten joins the company from Galliford Try, where he previously worked for 22 years.
He will be based at Seddon's North West offices in Bolton.
In addition, Mr Wootten will lead Seddon's small works, maintenance and painting divisions which have recently secured a series of major contracts, as well as gaining a place on all lots of the North West Construction Hub Low Value Framework.
