A further £500,000 project will get underway between Scales and Mungrisedale on Monday, 27 June, with completion scheduled for Wednesday, 20 July.

Most of the works will be carried out between 8pm – 6am, with some daytime working taking place between Scales and Mungrisedale as a section of the carriageway needs to be rebuilt.

Highways England project manager Peter Gee said: "This is important work to ensure local people, businesses and tourists can continue to enjoy smooth and safe journeys through this part of the Lake District."
