B&B Attachments Unveils BlockMaster Range

Construction News Image
The building materials sector is a demanding one, moving its diverse products quickly, effectively and without damage can be challenging. Material handling experts B&B Attachments are the market leaders in the supply of forklift attachments to this industry. B&B manufacture and supply specialist attachments to builders merchants, third party distributors, vehicle crane manufacturers, as well as manufacturers of brick, block, flag and kerb products.

B&B's experience and understanding of the building products industry has been invaluable in the development of BlockMaster, the only comprehensive range of attachments available from a single source. BlockMaster has been designed and manufactured by B&B Attachments to withstand the tough environments of the building products industry.

Some of B&B's most popular attachments in the BlockMaster range include the J250R which is a rotating overhead block clamp. This clamp is part of B&B's specialist attachments for the handling of multiple packs of flag, kerb and decorative concrete products. The J250R is ideal for applications where finished products need to be securely clamped and rotated in a particular way.

The BlockMaster WR400T is an overhead block clamp with twin pack consolidation. It ensures optimum performance and maximum productivity when handling two block packs. The WR400T is rated at 4000kg, with an inside height of 1200mm. It is ideally suited to yard work and loading, and offers excellent durability, serviceability and performance. B&B's overhead block clamps provide solutions for loading curtain sided vehicles with concrete products that are up to five blocks high. These clamps are ideal when working with third party transport providers.

The BlockMaster range has severely reduced handling and loading times for brick and clay products, with its specialist range of multiple brick pack handling devices. The range of three and four pack handling devices ensures secure and reliable handling of multiple brick packs in one single lift.

The individual head movement allows packs on a conveyor with spaces between to be brought together quickly and efficiently for instant storage and transport.

The innovative Brick Tine attachment provides a solution for brick production sites that require packs to be handled in a kiln. This attachment allows pallet-less handling of the bricks by clamping the pack at the base. The Kiln Tine attachment greatly reduces the likelihood that the bricks will be damaged when they are moved around site, thereby protecting investment and preventing the high cost of replacing damaged goods. To protect the bricks further, the pressure of the Brick Tine's grip on the pack is controlled by mechanical springs on link rods. These rods are operated by a single rear hydraulic cylinder, providing the safest grip at the lowest pressure to the product. The tines have both upper and lower replaceable strips, which hold the product without causing it any damage. The attachment is fitted with an additional side shift facility to allow for safe and precise loading.

Founded in 1980, B&B Attachments has facilitated the sale and hire of forklift truck attachments produced by leading international manufacturers, including attachments from KAUP. Alongside this, B&B's in-house team design and manufacture bespoke attachments, creating products that meet their customers' specific material handling requirements. B&B Attachments provide solutions for moving a wide range of materials to sites all over the world.

B&B Attachments will be exhibiting at the UK Concrete Show at the NEC Birmingham on the 15 – 16 February, stand D15.
