Rudridge has started work to refurbish Badshot Lea Football Club's new grounds in Farnham.
The civil engineering contractor is renovating the site in Westfield Lane to create a permanent base for the club. Work is scheduled for completion in time for the 2018/19 season.
Features of the Westfield Lane Stadium Project include developing two nine vs nine community pitches, as well as extensive refurbishments being carried out to the existing clubhouse to bring it in line with FA regulations.
Along with grants and initiatives to raise funds for the project, the Club won support from a community campaign launched by Rudridge in 2015. The company will complete the project by providing expertise and materials free of charge.
Overall, Rudridge will work with the Club over the coming months to advise on suitable drainage and groundworks solutions for the site, as well as liaising with contractors to deliver appropriate materials.
Mark Broad, Chairman at Badshot Lea FC, said: "We are delighted that work is finally underway at our new grounds and can't wait to see the transformation unfold.
"This has been a project that has required a great deal of determination and effort. We are thrilled that our patience is now paying off and our wait for a permanent ground is in its final phase.
"We would like to thank Rudridge, and everyone else who has been involved, with supporting us to achieve our aim of securing a suitable site and creating a home for Badshot Lea FC."
Paul Duke, Manager at Rudridge Farnham, said: "This will be a wonderful new facility for the community and the Club. We are pleased to be involved and look forward to supporting Badshot Lea FC to see the project through to fruition."
