Galliford Try has been appointed to build nearly 250 new apartments in Hillingdon.
The contractor will deliver 249 homes as part of the St Andrew's Park development being built on the former RAF Uxbridge base.
The 1,300-home scheme is being carried out on behalf of leading regeneration developer St Modwen. This next £90 million phase will be delivered close to the edge of London's newest park – a 32-acre area of woodland and parkland at the heart of the scheme.
The 249 homes will be spread over four blocks, with other features including a new road junction adjacent to the site along with landscaping of the communal areas. The site is also part of the planned new office and commercial space of St Andrew's Park, creating around 1,000 jobs in the area.
So far, a new school has been built on the site and St Modwen's housebuilding arm, St Modwen Homes, is currently building around 85 new homes.
Matthew Pool, Managing Director for Galliford Try London and South East Commercial, said: "Our track record in delivering prime residential schemes throughout London and the South East is well established. We are delighted to be working with St. Modwen on this high-profile scheme, on the doorstep of our own headquarters, and look forward to adding this further phase of high-quality housing to the St Andrew's Park development."
Tim Seddon, Regional Director for London and the South East at St Modwen, said: "This is a very significant stage for us and the project as we are developing this site ourselves rather than selling on the plots of land.
"We will have a wide variety of homes offering something for everyone with some to be sold and some to be privately rented."
Work is scheduled to start later this month, with completion scheduled for late spring 2018.
