Galliford Try Partnerships' South East business has won two industry accolades.
The division has scooped the 'Best Supported/Sheltered Housing Scheme’ at the Housing Excellence Awards as well as the 'Best Development’ in the Affordable Homes category at the Evening Standard New Homes Awards 2017.
The first award is linked with the £9.1 million Protheroe House purpose-built extra care development in Tottenham for One Housing Group. The 50-home scheme for over 55s was recognised for supporting residents to live independently and meeting their individual needs partly through self-contained, well-designed spacious flats that are both accessible and adaptable to allow for the changing needs of residents.
Elsewhere, the division scooped the 'Best Development' prize at the Evening Standard New Homes Awards 2017 due to its work on the Upton Village regeneration scheme of the former Plaistow Hospital site.
A total of 168 high-quality mixed-tenure homes were created on the development, combining new build and refurbishment of the hospital’s Victorian buildings. Great Eastern Quays, phase one, was also highly commended at the awards in the category for 'Best Apartment'.
Stuart Brodie, Managing Director of the Partnerships & Regeneration South East business said: "Congratulations to both of the teams behind these schemes. The awards, once again, demonstrate our ability to build high-quality homes on behalf of our clients, and lead the sector in the delivery of affordable homes and regeneration."
