The water services company has gone out to tender for three contractors to deliver the reinstatement programme, which will run for an initial three years and has a maximum of eight years.
Thames Water and its alliance partners complete approximately 150,000 reinstatements per year at a cost of £30m per year, including avoidable streetworks fines and penalties.

In the tender notice, the company said: "Reinstatement work is a major challenge for us and our alliance partners; however it offers great opportunities for us to deliver operational efficiencies, best value for money, and provide an excellent customer experience."
The new framework will be split across three regions - North and South London and the Thames Valley.
Around 40% of reinstatement work is carried out in North London, with lots valued at around £104m. Elsewhere, 34% of reinstatements take place in south London (valued at £88m) while Thames Valley accounts for 26% of reinstatement work and is worth £66.4m.
