Residents in Stockport are being invited to help plan the town's future development up until 2035.
The council has launched a consultation to develop a Local Plan, which will set out rules and guidelines for future development and land uses.
Features include issues surrounding housing, jobs, transport, health, education, shops and greenspaces/spaces.
Cllr Kate Butler said: "Over the next two years we are committed to have an open and transparent discussion with Stockport residents and businesses regarding what land is needed to accommodate the homes, jobs, new infrastructure and local facilities we need from now until 2035.
"We understand that the issues in one area of the borough may not be the same as in others, so we want to hear from local communities about the place they live – what works, what doesn’t, what they need and what they’d like to protect.
"To enable us to deliver the best possible plan we need and want your views. We’d also like to make clear that no final decisions will be made until we have reviewed all consultation feedback."
Details and dates of the consultations are as follows;
• Central Area, Monday, 04 September from 6pm to 8.30pm at Fred Perry House, Edward Street, Stockport, SK1 3XE
