Maesteg-based Talgarth Bakery is set to move part of its production to the new facilities, which will provide space for the business to move the cake plant out of its current Spelter site so it can increase production, expand and concentrate on the recently acquired Burts Cakes and Biscuits.

The scheme was backed by a £195,000 loan from the Welsh Government’s Repayable Business Finance. Overall, the development will create 10 new jobs and safeguard a further 20.
Welsh Economy Secretary Ken Skates said: "Talgarth is an important employer in the South Wales Valleys and is a company with an excellent track record of growth and profitability. I look forward to seeing the company reach its expansion goals."
