Construction News Image
Work is continuing on a multi-million pound residential development in Ashford, Kent.

A total of 235 apartments and 26 riverside houses are being built on the former Powergen brownfield site at Victoria Way.

Designed by Guy Hollaway Architects, the Riverside Park scheme is being taken forward by Quinn Estates on behalf of GRE Assets.

Tracey Kerly, Chief Executive Officer of Ashford Borough Council, was recently joined by GRE Assets Directors Andrew Lock and Tom Brosnan, together with Mark Quinn, Chairman of Quinn Estates, and Cllr Graham Galpin, to view ongoing development work at the site.

Mr Quinn said: "Riverside Park is an exceptional development that is already contributing to the success of Ashford. We are really proud to be delivering such a well-designed scheme that works and brings forward this long-standing brownfield site – providing outstanding houses and apartments in the town centre, right by the train station with its excellent links to the capital."

Ms Kerly said: "This is a key town centre project, which has positively drawn the attention of both residents and businesses alike. With an exceptional design by Guy Hollaway Architects, the buildings have added to the Ashford skyline and complement what Ashford Borough Council is doing with the Big 8 projects."
