Engineering solutions provider Aspin has secured funding for its future growth programme.
The Group is being backed by the London office of private equity firm Sandton Capital Partners, which has acquired the business for an undisclosed sum from Aspin's former owners.
In addition, as the company looks to provide a more integrated and comprehensive service delivery for the rail, highways and infrastructure sectors, the Group's business operations have been restructured.
The executive team's responsibilities have been re-organised to help deliver the next phase of its '2020 Vision' to become a £60 million business. A number of new senior-level appointments have been made; Ian Sale has taken up the role of Chief Financial Officer while Paul Oyekanmi becomes Commercial Director.
The reorganisation also sees Martin Truman become Delivery Director, Damon Marii-Metuarii is Construction Director, Lee Healey is Technical Services Director and Alice Bromwich is Head of HR.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Russell Ward said: "This new investment and secure funding from our new equity partners who have extensive experience in the engineering sector, provides the ideal platform for the next significant stages of the company's planned development.
"We're delighted to secure the support of Sandton Capital Partners. The resulting secure financial base is critical in future-proofing our ambitious plans for the business. It is a significant vote of confidence in the commitment and dedication of the whole Aspin team working as one to deliver more of what our clients want. It's a win-win for us and our clients."
Matt Meehan of Sandton Capital Partners said: "Aspin is already a leading name in the sector. It has a highly experienced and successful executive team and has extensive skills and experience throughout the organisation. Our plan is to make it even better and we're very pleased to be involved at such an exciting phase as the firm leverages its solid base to achieve future success."
