More than 1,000 new homes are to be delivered by Keepmoat Homes across the North of England.
The homebuilder has signed contracts with Homes England to carry out work on four developments – two in the North East, one in Yorkshire and one in the East Midlands. Three of the schemes are part of the Homes England Accelerated Construction Programme (Brookvale, Dominion and Sedgeletch).
Up to 200 new homes are set to be delivered in the East Midlands on Phase Two of the Brookvale development in Shirebrook. The development will also include public open space with new play equipment and ponds for the benefit of both the new homes and the existing community in Shirebrook. Other features include creating green corridors, linking the existing community with the new homes and amenity space within the development. Completion is scheduled for 2022.
In Yorkshire, 466 new homes will be delivered on Phase Two of the Dominion development in Doncaster, along with high quality green routes and a play area. A total of 172 homes have already been completed at the site, with Phase Two due to start later this year. 260 homes on the new phase will be for 'affordable' rent and the Private Rental Sector.
The Sedgeletch and Eldon Whins developments in the North East will deliver 138 and 256 new homes respectively. At Eldon Whins, 230 homes will be for private sale with the remaining 26 available for rent and discounted sale, while at Sedgeletch 14 of the new homes will be available for rent and discounted sale.
James Thomson, Chief Executive Officer of Keepmoat Homes, said: "Keepmoat Homes is the largest delivery partner of Homes England and has been a member of successive Development Partner Panels, most recently DPP3.
"Since 2009, we have benefitted from £177 million in funding to secure 12,456 homes with a total value of over £1.2 billion, so we're delighted to be working in partnership with them to deliver hundreds of much needed new homes in these four key locations across the North of England.
"In the next financial year we aim to build over 4,000 new homes right across the UK with an average selling price of £155,000. We are committed to delivering high quality homes at prices that people can afford, with greater speed in line with the Government's objectives."
