Finding A Two Way Radio Channel In Your Area

Construction News Image
Two Way Radio users on construction sites (and other areas) across the UK are constantly battling with finding a channel that isn't already in use with other radio users in the area. This has become a major issue in urban areas within London, Birmingham, Manchester and Northern Ireland.

The reason being that the UK Business Radio Simple License frequencies have become so popular within the last decade, that this has led to significant overuse, and Ofcom have had to reject some license applications in London because of this.

In October 2017 Ofcom addressed this issue and have since extended the range of the UK Business Radio Simple License; adding a further four frequencies to the existing range; which consisted of three frequencies at 449MHz. Now current license holders can make use of these new frequencies, either by re-programming existing radios or by purchasing some of the new models now available with these frequencies already programmed to dedicated channels.

If you're finding it difficult to get a channel in your area that is not experiencing interference from other users, you may well benefit from these new frequencies, giving you much quieter and private communications.

The Mitex Link is a professional radio that has been manufactured with this issue in mind. With eight channels dedicated to the new frequencies, and the remaining seven channels utilising the old frequencies, this is an ideal radio for those needing less congested communication. The radio is incredibly compact, has a durable chassis, and as the channels are already pre-programmed you can use this radio straight from the box; applying for the license either online with Ofcom or by completing the application that comes in the box.

If updating your existing fleet of radios is not an economical option for you at present, RadioPro would be happy to consider re-programming your existing radios to these new frequencies, so you can benefit from the new channels at a more "wallet-friendly" price.
