Interserve Recognised For Redevelopment Of Leicester Royal Infirmary

Interserve has been recognised for its work redeveloping the emergency department at Leicester Royal Infirmary.

The international firm secured a gold Considerate Constructors Scheme award for its work on the project.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme strives to promote and achieve best practice within the construction industry under the Scheme's Code of Practice which encourages tidy, professional and well managed sites; respect for the community; protection of the environment; health and safety; and a valued workforce.

Interserve won the accolade for "demonstrating an outstanding commitment to improving the image of construction and achieving exemplary standards in all areas of the Scheme's Code of Practice".

Neil Holland, Senior Project Manager at Interserve Construction who helped collect the award, said: "On behalf of the team working on the redevelopment of Leicester Royal Infirmary's emergency department, we are delighted to receive this award which recognises Interserve's commitment to considerate construction while delivering real value to our customers in the health sector.

"Crucially, the redevelopment of the hospital's accident and emergency was delivered with minimal disruption to staff and patients and was completed on time and to budget."
